Setting Up

Been working on a few things lately.  They're finally coming together and I thought now would be the time to set up a way of showing off.  This will be where that happens.  For now it's just a splash screen and you probably can't even see this post, but eventually it will be something.

Or like every other time I've tried this, it will turn in to nothing and I'll move on with my life.

Basically what I've been doing is creating my own HTPC setup using XBMC, Chrome, xWidget, and AutoHotKey mainly.  So far it's coming along nicely and I'm using my girl as the guinea pig.  Right now the issue is with a smooth startup.  Too many windows launching that aren't being taken care of correctly.

The next main thing I need to work on is just binding everything correctly so you don't get to a window and have no control over it.  This is proving difficult as there are always multiple ways to get to every window so some things are still not going through the proper process before getting to that window.

Next I'm hoping to implement Launchy so you can both search your computer and will be your access to the web.  Right now I've been trying to use a search bar in xWidget but there's no way of searching your computer that way.

That's about all for now.  I'll leave you with a mockup skin I did for XBMC based off of Google Now cards.  I have no idea where to start or even how to skin an XBMC skin so that's going to be on the backburners for quite a while, but somewhere down the line I want everything to have an integrated look so I'm going to have to learn it.  Let me know what you think.

We need more future

All right so this is pretty crazy.  Elon Musk, co-founder of PayPal and Tesla Motors, was already Tony Stark, but now he's just gone over the top and isn't even being original about it.  I love technology but I hope it's all not based on movies in the future. We figured out how to design rocket parts just w hand movements through the air (seriously). Now need a high frame rate holograph generator.
